20. Beauty for Ashes

VHGGG -Chapter 20

In 1741, Charles Wesley wrote the words of the hymn “I Do Believe’.  The first line of the first verse goes like this, ‘Father, I stretch my hands to Thee; No other help I know;’. I love this song because it is a reminder to me that as we realize our great need of God’s intervention in our lives, instead of holding up our hands in desperation, we hold up our hands knowing that God will lift us up and change us.  Becoming more and more like what God wants us to be is a wonderful experience.
