“My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.” (Psalm 57:7 KJV)

Focused and not distracted.  This is the state of mind that David declared himself to be in.  Having had to flee from Saul and acknowledging the danger in which he was in, David was determined that in any situation he would praise God.
David recognized who God is and also acknowledged that irrespective of his situation, God was to be praised and exalted.
During these rough times, the praises come from very deep within. Praises were not based on circumstances or situations, but was simply based on who God is.
Thank You Lord for putting Your praise in my heart.
